I think that Fender Strings could be better and has more quality.
The sound is poor, and I don't like it.

Are you referring to new strings or the strings that came stock on your Fender guitar?

Do you know how long those strings were on the guitar? Was it new or used?

Remember, even a "new-in-the-factory-box" guitar spent time getting from the Fender factory/warehouse to your store (since your sig says you're in Rio it probably a while to get through customs in Brazil as well); then who knows how long it was at the store before your bought it.

My advice - change the strings. It doesn't matter what brand is on a guitar it is always good to go ahead and change them out when you get the guitar. A lot of shops will put a new set on even if you're not changing guages, making adjustments, or anything like that. Even a new set of strings can be bad - I've been fortunate that it has only happened once or twice to me over the years but is has been known to happen. Nothing you can do but get another set and change them again.

When Fender strings are new, I think they are great. They are made by D'Adderio now so if you do not like Fender strings, you won't like them either.

As mentioned earlier, give them another chance. Buy the guage you usually like, and see if you like them then. Worst case is you don't. Feel free to buy any brand, nothing says you have to play with Fender strings.

I didn't know that Fender strings were made by D'Addario now; when did that change? I'm assuming when they started coming in the black or silver boxes?

I've used Ernie Balls for years, but just recently had the high e on one of my guitars snap off right at the tuner. It was probably my hack stringing job but I wound up having to get a set of D'Addarios instead of EBs (I'm using a .009-.046 set on this guitar) and so far I've found them to be less bright than the EBs but maybe a bit more stable.

Back in January I used Fender strings for the first time in years,I put a set of 8-38 Super Bollets on my Tele. I took out the Tele the other day and not only were the strings still bright but were still in tune even though she had been sitting in the case since January. I believe these were made by Fender as D-Addarios are much more pliable so these Bullets were most likely old stock because they were marked down to $3 a Set.

I went to do a setup on my friends acoustic, and told him to pick up a new set of strings. He said "I just changed them." They were rusted, I asked him how long ago he changed them; 6 MONTHS!!!
I change my strings from every week- 3 weeks (3 if im not really playing it). Especially on my strat because I use pure nickel, and they go faster.

I find that the Fender Bullets are by far the brightest of all the strings I've tried in the last six months. I like the sound but they make me play a lot cleaner or sound a lot sloppier. I really wonder what the OP didn't like about his strings. He never did say.
