Like my earlier posts I do not like the ebay seller but he seems to own half of fenders inventory.Anyone out there ever see any american made black guitar's with matching headstock??? Much appreciated let's here some feedback!!

The other Fenders that I wish to own some day are: the Coronado II and XII,the Strarcaster and the Fender XII,of course a Jazzmaster wouldn't go astray.

A masterbuilt (doesnt matter who, they all do amazing work) custom shop hardtail strat with:

One piece alder body

thin skin nitro Sherwood Green finish with matching headstock.

Tinted nitro maple neck with quarter-sawn thick slab maple cap/no skunk stripe and 22 6105 frets

Custom Shop 69 Pups in the neck and mid, Dimarzio Chopper in the bridge.

I suspect this neck is from a deluxe ltd mahogany strat. They came in a couple of versions one with sss and normal nut and another hss with lsr.
I have seen these go for as little as $750USD for the total guitar and I did have one at one stage.
I would not be too hard on this seller he is just performing a service and no one is forced to bid.
My own view is you are better off buying a strat already assembled by fender. The neck will fit better and there are usually no suprises.
The only full black one I have seen is the FSR "none more black" and it had an ebony fretboard with no markers.
I did miss out on a custom shop 20th anni in aged cherry so I wish I had owned that!
:D

SRV Lenny edition. Although I think it'd be hard to play...

I could also go for the mentioned masterbuild guitar.I saw one the was called telestrat in candy apple red.It was a little out of my range for 3k.It was definitely rare and coool!I wish I could play that. The other ones mentioned like cornado I had to look in my fender book those were a funky design.I've never played a jazzmaster. The best fender I have owned though is my american standard I just wish It could have a matching headstock like in the pic.I used to have a 03 but sold it to buy the 91.The 91 feels more like an eric johnson guitar(light and a great neck) perfect for a small frame guy like myself.I'm not to big on signature guitar's because I'm not a collector but if I did go that route it would a hendrix 97 guitar. They sold those for like 3 years.I got to hear one once and had the best sustain and sharpest mids and I noticed the bride pickup was wired to the left not right so I wonder if that had to do with it.Becasue I do not think hendrix used anything but stock pickups. As I am writing this I know am thinking of like 4 guitars lol.

The main guitar I am gassing for is a George & Leo (G&L) Nighthawk...it's kinda Fender (Leo Fender), isn't it?

As far as a true Fender (brand) guitar, I would love to submit the matching Tele and Strat set (I put all my favorite features together) to the Fender Custom Shop and have those built.

I would also like an old hardtail Strat from the early 60s (my Custom Shop fantasy is hardtail as well).

That's good question! The list's as long as my arm but if I had to pick just one... it'd probably be Jerry's '57 Alligator Strat that Graham Nash gave him. 8)

Yeah, it's pretty interesting and went through a number of modifications over the years. Here's a nicer pic and a link to a bunch of info about the actual guitar and of an Alligator clone project.
