I have a Fender American Deluxe Strat Plus which has a Deluxe locking tremolo

But after 10+ years it needs to be replaced...

Where can I find a new one?

And if I can't; can I replace it with Fender American Deluxe Series Stratocaster® Bridge / Tremolo Assembly?

The locking trems are getting harder to find since Fender hasn't used them for several years now. Try searching all the parts supply houses; I checked at guitarpartsresource.com and they no longer have any listed on their website.

If you can't find one then the Deluxe Series bridge should fit the same posts; of course you'll need to remove the back plate or get a back plate with the opening for restringing.

The deluxe locking tremolo is actually available as a spare accessory. Fender doesn't offer the bridge as an option for the post-2010 American Deluxe HSS Strat with the raw switch.

I believe this decision was taken to allow players making their own American Deluxe HSS LT by installing the Mini Floyd Rose bridge themselves.

Perhaps Fender will bring back the locking bridge option for the post-2010 USA Deluxe HSS - possibly in the second half of 2012.
