This has probably been covered elsewhere, but if you haven't done this already - try it you'll like it.

Tap into the hot lead coming from the bridge pickup. Wire this lead to a mini on-off toggle switch and then from the mini toggle to the common pole of the 5-way switch. Mount the mini toggle on the pickguard. You now have the ability to add the bridge pickup to the neck or to have all three pickups on at the same time. Two more unique pickup settings for your Strat for about $3. The neck/bridge sounds fantastic. Play with the tone controls and you will find some awesome sounds with the bridge added in.

After wiring bridge pickups to the tone knob on strats that have it only wired to the middle; this is the most installed wiring mod I do. Its EXTREMELY usefull. Though its usually only done with parallel wiring, because its really tough to do it, and a series/parallel mod, its still very usefull. Gives you the warmth of the neck pickup, with the added bite and focus of the bridge. Can also be done the opposite, wiring it to the neck pickup, like on the David Gilmour strat.
I like doing it with a master tone, and using the second tone as a blender pot to add in the bridge just a little, up to all the way. Great mod.

The Deluxe Players uses a similar scheme.

I have the Kinman K9 switch in one of my Strats. It has all those features plus the ability to run your pups in series or parallel for even more tones. Nine positions technically but even more when you consider you also have the ability to "blend" in pup combinations in varying degrees.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I put a push/pull pot on the middle (tone) knob that turns the bridge pickup; that way, I get seven "positions" out of my Strat (the push/pull added Bridge + Neck and Bridge + Middle + Neck) in conjunction with the 5-way switch.

I really like that mod, and it's "hidden"; there's no visible switch, button or knob.
