I've had a '80 Fender 75 for about eight years. All tube, point to point wiring, 15'' fender speaker, spring reverb, two channel, etc. Only downside is that it's about 85 lbs. I love it.

nice amp i bet napalmbbq...love your nickname too btw hehe.

Got any pics of that amp?

Yeah my twin weighs about that much, I can't believe the weight. You know what they say, weight = tone LOL.

Well I dunno, My naylor 4x12 rig is pretty amazing sounding, but it's lightweight.

Speaking of which, if any of you guys need a straight ahead ROCK amp, the Naylor is great for strats. They are really thick and let the strat tone come on strong. They have a lot of gain on tap, so you can really rock on a strat or tele.

The downside, there is no clean tone, its like a old marshall plexi.

If you're looking for a metal/hard rock sort of tone, then some of Marshall's MG series like the MG250DFX are perfect. Strats are also great played on clean, I would still vote the MG250DFX for that. Though there is always the Steel King which is made to handle distortion, but without distortion, its not overdriven- perfect for clean?

I happen to stumble on a very nice 80's Laney Pro Tube combo for a deal when I went to get my Strat from the upgrades. I have seen them called a hot rodded JCM800. I haven't played a Marshall but this thing is super nice. Calmed my gas for a Deluxe for now :D

It depends on what kind of sound you like, I like my fender frontman 212 r is pretty nice tho, it has nice distortion for rock.
