That would be your best bet. Tell them you bought a new guitar, and that's what you want. Not a new guitar that's been stripped and refinished by God knows who. Let meknow what happens.

They are. we were able to get replacement decals from them, though it was a huge process of pictures of the original, break, repair, etc. But I dont think it'll be a problem, you'll just be without a strat for a little while. You should check out your states return policy laws, or if you paid with a credit card, sometimes it extends the return period. Good luck

Whithout strat for a while is not a bit deal if at the end i get a new one or mine fixed.
I've got some other guitars to play with (US FAT Telecaster, a humbucker in neck position and single coil on the bridge, washburn WP 50, Epiphone sheraton 1993).

Air bubbles in the finish are NOT "fish eyes". They're simply air bubbles.

Fisheyes are craters caused by oil, silicone, or polymer contamination of the surface before or during painting. The paint layer being applied will not adhere to the contaminated area, and surface tension causes it to pull back from the surface, making a crater.

The only solution is to sand the surface flat again, treat it with a wax/grease remover, and repaint.

Anyway, sounds like you've got dust under the clear coat.

+1

The photo shows definite evidence of particulate contamination during the painting-and-finishing process.

To be continued.

I had a 65 twin reissue that i bought brand new and the dealer repalced the factory tubes with a mismatched set of tubes because the originals came in broke or they sold them out of the amp, and it had serious issues.
Fender had me go to another dealer with a service tech and Fender had them replace the tubes with white fender groove tubes no questions asked.
ON FENDER!
Fender is very professional when it comes to making sure you get the quality product you purchased.
I'm sure they will take care of you.
Someone in their quality dept will probably take a lick.
Good luck!

A new guitar tonight at home! Prettier, better sound, more beautiful wood! But but but there are still some dust grains, but they must search with a flashlight. Is the process of painting has changed is these grains are always there but you have to look to see them!!
So I'm happy and I think I'll throw my flashlight :D
