Post subject: What Wood do I Have.

Good day to everyone. I have a '83 American Standard Strat. This was when CBS striped them down to cut cost. Does anyone know what type of wood was used to make these guitars.?

Maple neck, vintage white.

I heard tale one time that CBS used poplar, because it was cheaper. I just wasn't sure. But you say I'm using Alder. That's good enough for me. Thanks for the help Bro! Rock on...
