The deed is done, I ordered and will patiently wait while a slow truck brings it to me.

Patience is a virtue...and when that bloddy thing arrives, play it for all its worth!

Pics and tell us how it plays!

Yes, the waiting patiently was very tongue in cheek. I'll be checking my tracking number hourly. I'm expecting this one to be a nice compliment to my Guild and Am Dlx Strat. I've always been a sucker for a natural blonde. I thought I wanted the transparent black. I waited several months for a store to get one to play. I tried a black one the other day and like everything about it except the finish. It was a little weird looking to me. Then I saw the picture of the natural and decided I could definitely get into that. It's kind of a unique Fender with the mahogany set neck, SP90 pups and Adjust O Matic bridge. I got some nice sounds out of it the other day. I also got a real good deal on it from American Musical Supply which gave me all the justification I needed.

My guitar is on the UPS truck for delivery today. I'm cool, barely obsessed at all. But in between shots of Jack Daniels, I've been thinking:
1. New guitars come with case candy. Since this guitar doesn't come with a case, will I get any candy. Will I have to call it plastic baggie candy?
2. Would it be funny if I used the card board box as a case? Put some masking tape on it and head out to jam night!
Alright, I might be just a little obsessed. I can handle it.

It's here in my office, sitting on the chair daring me to pretend I'm going to get any work done today. To answer my own questions, no case candy. Nothing, not a tag, not a sticker, nothing but a guitar. I don't have anything to plug it into. Acoustically it has a lot of resonance. I had forgotten how bright the Fender Bullet strings are.

I've got an extra gig bag that's been waiting for a tenant. I like the SKB case that came with my Strat, and that's not a bad price. Thanks.
