Anybody @ Fender know if this kosher?

I'm not a Fender employee but that does look like legit to me - not sure about the writing on the case but I know that a limited run of EJs in 3-color burst was done for Wildwood Guitars in Colorado. I think they still have a few of them left on their site - I haven't looked at Fender Artist models on their site in a while.

Wildwood also did some runs of EC and JB Strats with the Thinskin nitro finish at around that same time.

Custom Thinskin Nitro Claptons were mostly available in Olympic White, Pewter and Torino Red, though I saw a couple of thinskin EC Customs in Candy Green and Black as well.

From the Fender site EJ strats were not made in 3 color sunburst. I don't know about a special run though, others here might know more.

After posting this earlier today I did check Wildwood's site - they don't have any left. However, I do remember them coming through there about 3 years ago. It was an FSR-type deal just for them.

I believe Fender released this limited-edition run of the Eric Johnson model in 3-colour sunburst 2 years ago. Only 100 pieces were made exclusively for Guitar Center.
