Here are some new pics I just took... I first saw this Model at Guitar Center Boston two years ago but couldn't find the one. Been GASing on it ever since. On my last trip to Boston, end of June they only had two left and they were on clearance :) I picked this one for it's beautiful wood grain that shows through the crimson red and mostly for the feel. I knew right away this was the one. Took for ever to cross the pond, clear Customs and arrive at my house but it was worth the wait. I can't put this guitar down. It's perfect! Looks like it has a one piece body, I can't see any seems at all. Ok, so here is the Crimson Strat.

The head stock is high gloss black but it is like a mirror finish the Fender logo and Stratocaster is written in silver/chrome. very slick looking. Not traditional at all but neither am I... :D

Beautiful axe!!!
And one more plus point,,,,,,it's an HSS format!!!
(pretty much all I own are HSS's.....IMHO....an extremely versatile format for an already versatile guitar!!

They used to call these American Special Stratocaster but they changed "American Special" to a different model a couple of years ago and now call these "American Select".

Great guitars. A friend of mine bought one used at GC and it's just a wonderful playing and sounding instrument. Congrats on the new arrival!

I like the grain on the fingerboard too. Just one more cool detail on an excellent Strat. Congrats!

I have to agree with others on how good that color looks, especially with the grain showing through. Additionally, the black pick guard, pickup covers and knobs look outstanding with that color!

Congrats!

Not only a great looking guitar but your photo's are very professional too. What a difference great photos make. I spent a day trying to get a few good pics of a rebuilt MIM Strat in "ice blue metallic" and all I got was washed out photos. It ain't easy. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks man, did you get your Crimson Red at Guitar Center? Someone said they thought this was a special run exclusively done for Guitar Center.
