I read some more on this and there seems to be a divide. Some say it makes a difference in tone with different caps at the same values. Some say the voltage is to low for the cap to influence the tone in different ways. Anyone up for an experiment? I have always wanted to.

Here is what I'm thinking. A cheap stomp box setup with a dial and a pot. The person can dial in different caps of the same value and try to hear the difference at different tone amounts (10,5,0). After that I could put different values in it for testing pickups with different cap values.

I need recommendations for what caps will perhaps have the most distinguishing sound from one another. And we need to decide on a value that may show the most difference.

Lets try to avoid any expensive caps if we can.
