Hello everybody. I'm looking for help in I.D my 2 knob (1 x vol., 1 x tone) Strat with a toggle switch in place of the 2nd tone knob.

It's a 1995 Strat HSS something, serial no. MN542173, cream yellow in colour.

What is the "something" I'm assuming it's a Standard.

What is the toggle switch, and what's it's purpose?

Thanks in advance.

It is an MIM Stratocaster HSS Special. These were the predecessors to the current MIM Deluxe range, and were considered to be an upgrade from the basic MIM Standard of the day. They were only made for a couple of years.

The mini-toggle should be a coil splitter for the bridge humbucker. They also made a Telecaster Special that had a neck humbucker.
