Here's my review on this guitar.
I'll start with the neck, Beefy however extremely comfortable
Frets , flawless.
Neck relief is optimal, perfect.
Body, flawless not a ding, looks thinskin to me, I'm more
Than sure it's advertised as such.
Action , raised a little for my taste. Albeit came with low action
But have grown to love a little higher action. I feel I can
Mute strings better with my left hand.
Steel blocks and saddles yaddi yadda.
Pickups, 57/62 with rwrp mid. Outstanding!!!!
Volume and tone controls are highly reactive.
Sustain sustain sustain sustain!!!
I can get almost any tone I desire with a few tweaks.

You just jinxed yourself. 10 bucks says you put a ding in the body within 5 days. :P

It'll be well on its way in becoming bluesstrattone signature
Series. Lol

Yeah, the HR62 is a great Strat, have fun. I got a sunburst awhile back and was lusting after a Sherwood green one that Elderly had, but since I got a Jeff Beck back in January I just have not had the funds, and have actually not had a GAS attack in a very long time. I did not think the necks were going to be much different, but the JB is noticeably larger, and I love my SRV, but, I have been saying to myself ever since I got the HR62 that it is everything the SRV should have been.

I love mine,it's probably the best one I've ever owned,my #2 is a '59 RI Thinskin from Wildwood,it has the 6105 frets on it and I couldn't stand them, too tall, but I had a great guitar tech file and lower them,he recrowned them and put a finish slick as a ribbon on 'em,now they feel a lot more like vintage frets....the '62 is going to get a challenge for the #1 spot...we shall see.
BTW,neither of mine have the original pups in them.

BST, you are fuelling my GAS in a big way, there is a Sunburst 62HR sitting in my local store at a good price, I spent some time playing it, what a beautiful guitar 8) , I then forced myself to leave without it, repeating to myself all the way home, "I don't need it, I don't need it, I don't need it......."

I've seen this said many times but the fact of the matter is, the SRV sig is the way Stevie himself wanted it, not what eveyone else thought it should be.

I did that with the '62HR I own,the same way...four times!!! each time I went back and was disapointed thinking it had sold, but they kept moving it around. finally I gave in thinking I was looking like an idiot for wanting it so badly and actually being able to afford it...I have never regretted that purchase.
Now your GAS is fueled even more, you can thank us when you buy it. :D

I know this, I'm lucky enough to enjoy both.

I think under $1400 would be a great deal if you can swing it

Over here in Oz, around $2000 is a pretty good store price for a HR62.

Nevin he didn't jinx himself you did by pointing it out

I have been a maple neck strat guy forever, but after I picked up my 60's Classic I have been won over to at least appreciating the rosewood (the dark side)!

BST...nice choice, and making it your #1 well you could certainly do alot worse! Enjoy the guitar and play the heck out of it!
