Hi guys , i can't figure out... can you help me?

Here , some pictures of my guitar neck ).

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/845/dsc00303p.jpg/

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/21 ... 304zy.jpg/

Also i have a peace of paper with informaton of my guitar on it.

AMERICAN DELUXE STRATOCASTER HSS, 0101500/1502, RW/MN AM SERIES DLX STRATOCASTER 0101590/1592 , HSS , LOCKING TREMOLO SWITCH & CONTROL FUNCTION.

On the fender website, they seems like update the info about all guitars (AMERICAN DELUXE STRATOCASTER HSS) and in this screen you can see that they have a neck finish.

But , the model № is different,I have a 0101500/1502.
So guys if you can help , i'll be happy.

Unless the neck is bare wood, yes, you had/have a finish on it.

What kind? couldn't tell from the photos and am not familiar enough with everything Fender to say for absolute sure. Your photos looked like low gloss / satin finish but the photos were kind of grainy.

Urethane, Nitro? No idea, most likely Urethane. I'm sure one of the folks here who seem to have every spec from every Fender since 1954 memorized will give you the full scoop. :D

I do not use any kind of polish on my maple fretboard. When I change strings, I wipe it off with a soft cloth.

If it's really nasty around the frets, I'll use a toothbrush. I've only had to use a moist (not wet but moist) cloth once and that was right after I bought it because the guy who owned it before me must have only washed his hands once a month or less.

To clean it then, I used a soft cotton cloth and one of those spray bottle cleaners (can't remember the brand, probably Mr. Clean or something) and misted some on my cloth to make it just moist (again not wet) and cleaned. Behind the frets, did the same thing with a tooth brush.

Since then, all I have done is wipe it off with a dry soft cotton cloth (actually piece of old T=Shirt is what I use) and then put the new strings on. Others may have different routines but that's what I do and it seems to work just fine for me.

Maple doesn't need a lot of care, no lemon oil etc.

Hope this helps.

Jeff

Seems like your other questions have been answered so I'll answer this one:

The model number on Fender's website is different from the model number of your guitar because the American Deluxe series was updated in 2010. When Fender updates a model they change the model number in the catalog. This is "version #3" of the American Deluxe series.

Based on your photos your guitar is the "version #2" American Deluxe, which was made between 2004 and 2009.

I have a Urethane finish?

That is what I would think. Ceri also said so and if he says it's Urethane, I'd take it to the bank. The fellow knows his Fenders.

Unless you just HAD to have nitro for some reason, I wouldn't spend a moment worrying about it having a Urethane finish. The stuff is nearly indestructable, you don't have to baby it, you can clean it easily and it will last forever (OK, not forever, but you'll be far too old to play and the finish will still look good assuming you took reasonable care of it like no artificial relic jobs, etc.).

Personally I like the finishes. I'm not totally bought into the mystique of Nitro myself. But your thread was about your neck finish and how to clean it. Seems like the big questions answered! :D

The others have covered this well, but I'll also add that most "modern" USA production Fenders have urathane finishes; only a handful of the other "modern" models have nitro finishes. The American Deluxes and American Standards are urathane, and I'm pretty sure the American Specials are as well along with the necks (but not the bodies) of the Highway 1s.

By "modern" I mean something other than the American Vintage reissues where models based on certain years prior to 1968 have nitro finishes, and I'm not counting the CS, just the production line models.

The polish stuff won't hurt it but it's not necessary in my experience. I'll use the mist and wipe stuff on the body when it gets really grungy with fingerprints (I have a purple metalic and a black and both show fingerprints really bad) and if I've been playing at an outdoor gig when it's really hot and my sweaty hands gunk up the back of the neck, I'll wipe it down with the mist and wipe stuff but other than that a moist cotton cloth on the fretboard and back of the neck when I change strings is all I've ever used.

The only caution about the polishes on the neck is you can over do it and get gummy (don't ask me how I know this.... :D ).

I may use a polish on the body once a year but honestly, it is probably more like every couple years and that goes for my Martin acoustics too.

I take very good care of my guitars (they cost a lot of money and cost even more to replace or repair) but I am a believer in the saying less is more.

Clean the grunge off, wipe them down with a dry soft cloth every time I play them before putting back in the case and that's about it.
