Does anyone know who had a Japanese custom shop strat like 15 years ago? I thought maybe it was Hank Marvin but now Im thinking it was another 50's/60's instrumental or surf group. It was a blue, japanese model with pearl dot inlays on a maple board. It stood out at the time but I never saw another one again. Any ideas?
P.s. If this is a redundant question or anything I apologize I searched but couldnt find anything

They had a Jerry Donahue Limited Edition made in Japan it was in blue. The Hank Marvin was in red only I think

That is very very similar but its not it. If it had been a Hellcasters model I wouldve remembered it without thinking Hank Marvin/Shadows but its super close. I think maybe it had a pearl pickguard.

Does anyone know if they made it with a white pearl or moto pickguard?
For what its worth Im pretty sure I originally saw it in the used section of mars music.

Ha - that's pretty!

Whoever the maker, Jerry's guitars are always beautifully spec'd. And beautifully played, of course.

Cheers - C
