Need to get myself some good quality tuning machines for my strat and prefer to keep all things Fender, so just wondering what would be the best choice? Was thinking Vintage Tuners, but not too sure.

I'd go with the Deluxe Locking Tuners.

Most of my guitars have the standard Fender Ping tuners and Im amazed at how well they stay in tune - in fairness I dont use the wammy bar.

Nothing but Kluson Deluxe for me.

A second for the Fender Deluxe Locking Tuners. Put them on my MIM and they work great.

It depends on what you have already on the guitar, and just how much modifications you have to do to drop them in. I like Fenders with the vintage tuners. I also love the Fender/Schaller locking tuners as well.

What's wrong with the stock tuners on your guitar? Fender uses them because they are excellent quality. Fender has got it right after 60 years of building guitars.

Folks are always changing tuners for some reason that I've never fathomed.

I like the 'the look' of vintage tuners... but better? All the Fender stock tuners, vintage or otherwise do the job just fine.

Guitarists and equipment...man's ultimate expression of self -delusion.

Fender uses them because the wholesaler meets FMIC's bulk-purchase price point. Delusions to the contrary are romantic sophistry.
