No, its not working yet.....But it soon will be as the new pics will show what may be wrong.
new strings, because Ive taken off, and put back the old ones quite a few times.

I have a breedlove 12 string and a ovation 6 string, and a mia strat, so I have other stuff to play, but Ive wanted to have my white strat sound different and have had a lot of problems with hooking it up, Im so grateful for this Fender Lounge and the help of some very nice people, especially Phostenix !!!

Did you test it before you put it back together?

I will change this tomorrow, as its late and I have to go to bed. But thank you for looking over what I had done wrong and helping me to correct it.

No sound from mega sw when I go to far right (near blender) but everything else works.

I changed one thing, and that may be the reason, so I will run it by you. Instead of using
3 wires on the bottom middle of push pull, I used two......red from 5 on mega to middle left on
push pull, then a jumper down to middle of push pull.

then the yellow from the liberator to bottom middle of push pull, so instead of 3 on one and only one on the other, I went 2 and 2.......figuring they were all carrying the same current to same path. I will change that tomorrow if you feel it is the reason my one position on the mega does nothing.

I was too excited to just go to bed, so I had to give it a shot !!! Thank You so much !!!!!

good night and check back tomorrow after work !!!!!

laters !!!!

That's position 1. It should be the Bridge pup by itself.

Is the Blend pot in the center?

You say everything else works. Does that mean the Bridge pup works in positions 2 & 3?

How are you testing?

That is equivalent. No need to change it.

4:35 just walked in the door......I will now try the guitar again and make a report back really soon......Im glad I was able to follow the wires and do 2 and 2 and it worked ok......I thought you would tell me that was WHY the one position wasnt working. Be back soon !!!!

4:55

Here is what is going on.

I am going to call the 5 position switch from far back towards the blender #5 and up near the neck #1.

5. Nothing happens no matter what I do.
4. works, but no blender or tone control or push pull.
3. BIG DIFF using blender !!!! No tone control or push pull
2. Blender is big diff again in sound ( love it ) No tone control and nothing on push pull.
1. Blender works from pos 5-10 only Tone knob does nothing and push pull does nothing.

The tone knob I always left on 10 and never moved it anyway, so I dont care about that.

The push pull never seems to ever change any sounds at all.

pos 5 is still a problem, as nothing happens at all.

I am ready to take it apart and and take more pics or whatever you need me to do. I have a multi meter and can do continuity checks or whatever you need.

Thank You so much for your help !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Feels so good to have it be a FRIDAY and have the weekend off to play with my strat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS as far as testing, putting it back together and playing it is the only way I know how. I know you can put a screwdriver across pup and get a sound, but only my tex mex that has the metal thing for each string. Thanks !!!!

Why would you call the position towards the bridge position 5 when I have it labelled on the drawing as position 1?

I just felt that the back would be 5 and 1 would be up front.....No problem, as long as you know what I am referring to......so then number one position towards blender is what does not make any sound, sorry if I got it wrong, its just what I have always called it on a 5 position switch.

I know you are right though, as 1 is bridge and 5 is neck. Thanks....

I've reworked your list because I don't want to add more confusion to this by swapping the numbers around. We've done enough of that already.

1. Check that the 2 wires from the Bridge pup are correct. Look at the diagram and confirm each wire.
2. What works? Are both the Bridge pup & the Middle pup on? Take a small screw driver and tap on one of the pole pieces of each pickup (including the Neck to make sure).
3. Take the screwdriver again and tap each pickup. One of the rails of the Neck pup should be a louder click than the other. Is the Bridge pup working?
4. Tap on the pickups again. You should have one coil (rail) of the Neck & the Middle. The Blend knob should kill the Neck pup one way from center & it should stay full volume the other way,
5. What does the Blend knob do from 5-10?

The standard is 1 is towards the Bridge.

Use the screwdriver tapping to test as you go. There's no need to reassemble everything until you've got the right things working.
