For those who were following this crazy saga, it has come to a happy end. In the end, CTGuy had it wired according to the drawing, but the drawing was wrong.

I didn't think the blend pot through well enough to realize that it has to be wired a certain way. I had a 50/50 shot at getting it right & got it wrong.

Once it was wired up, the middle pup was also out of phase with the Seymour Duncans. So, it went back to how it would normally be wired - black to ground and red to the 5-way switch.

I've corrected the drawing (which over-writes the previously posted wrong version :) ).

Here's the corrected version:

I think I must be, in this minute, the happiest man on the Planet !!! I cant begin to thank Phostenix enough for his persistence and dedication in pursuing this doubtful venture into this
project that was dear to my heart, but me being unschooled about such things, I depended on
the graciousness of others to attempt to help me in this endeavor, only to have many, and I mean MANY people either refuse or fail in their attempts to accomplish this task.

I now will have my two Fender Strats that I will love and cherish until the day I am no more, and then they will be passed on to both of my Sons, who I hope will cherish them as much as I.

Thank you so much ( real name withheld ) for all of the time and effort to finally succeed
where so others cannot tread. You have brought me invaluable and immeasurable pleasure
in finally having this small crisis finally solved and put aside.

I cannot say words enough to express my gratitude.

You ROCK Bro !!!!!!!!

In this particular case, the neck humbucker is actually a bridge position Hot Rails, so when the splits are connected to ground, you get the outside coil (it would be the inside coil if it were in the bridge position). So, I left the drawing labeled as such. If you had an SD neck pup in the neck position, you would get the inside coil when the pup was split.

I went ahead & made a drawing of this blend setup if both humbuckers were Seymour duncan 4-wire pickups.

That would look like this:

Thank You SO much !!!! I did not know the neck was a bridge pup, the guys at GC sold it to me
and I had supposed anyone working there would know better then me and I trusted them. The important thing is that now the guitar will sound much different then just a SSS model.

Thank You !!!!

Im too busy playing to post the pics right now, I will do so sometimes soon. Two Dr's appointments tomorrow, so the weekend is good for me I guess, but I am so pleased to say that my title is no longer a valid statement and that not only does the blender work, the entire guitar does so much more then I had hoped for. Fender is the best guitar and this forum rocks for getting help when you need it the very most !!!

Phostenix came through with flying colors and I am soooooooooo Happy !!!!!

Thank you so much Phostenix !!!!! What a really great guy !!!!!

I went to a dentist for two hours and my forman was going to put me in for the time I was away, but the main head honcho for the shop went into the room I was installing lights in and saw what I had done in 2 hours and thought it to be 5 hours worth of work.....so when they layed off 5 guys, I was one of the 5. It has hurt my feelings as I was not given the chance to explain as it would have been ratting out my forman for putting me in for the time, and he would suffer consequences, so I have to just live with it, but it rests very heavy on my heart, as I worked hard while the building was being built and I guess I will just have to believe in the Lords grace that I am needed somewhere else.

My Marine Corps Son is coming home on a two week leave before going to afganistan, so at least I will be able to spend more time with him. I have to try to stay positive.

I appreciate so much everything that you did for me, and will never forget your kindness in helping another person in need.
