hi, can you guys tell me if these pots are original for a 1976 strat?

There isn't a serial number on them (that I can see), the only writing is that which is visible on the top of the pot, along with the words "made in ..." (the country is obscured by solder)

I have read about CBS using median made pots in the 70s, could these be them, or do they look different?

Hi ian850,

I don't know if those were the kind of pots that were used back then or not, they don't look like it to me. But, it does look like it is not factory wiring, as the wires connecting the pot cases are missing, and it looks like both sides of the tone cap are soldered to the case (am I seeing that correctly?). And, the cap is .05 instead of .022. These visual clues would lead me to believe that they are not original. Hopefully someone else can tell for sure and/or set me straight. It was the 70s, seems like nothing is standard in that era.

Nope. Original pots probably wore out years ago and were replaced. Don't look like factory wiring, either.
