the logo looks just like the MIJ Fender of the pawn-shop series, so thats good.

is the stamp at lower back of the neck?

Yes the stamp is right at the bottom of the neck saying with the serial number v001804

I'm not sure what the guitar is, but it's not a '04 Anniversary model.

Why are the pictures mirror images? Is this a joke? :?

According to the Fender dating site, that V001804 serial number indicates 1996 to 1997, not 2004. And, by 2004 they were Crafted in Japan. And that looks like a '68 neck (with wrong decal), with a '62 pick guard on a '57 or '54 body. :idea:

I agree with Paris, nothing indicates 2004 or Anniversary about this guitar. But it does look very nice. :)
