Hi All,

I have a wonderful Fender Stratocaster 70s AVRI in Ebony for sale or trade.

She was made in 2005 and is all original apart from some changes to her pickup covers and volume knobs etc... changed from white to black...(own personal look) But all original parts are supplied in her awsome G&G Custom coffin case along with the supplied 3 way switch, vintage leather strap,Jack lead and all original case candy normally supplied.

She has such an amazing tone and her setup is sublime...

My reason for selling her is that I am more of a Gibson man and Telecasters are my Fender Thing.... I have only used her for recording purposes.

I am looking for £1050.00 for her but am open to offers and possible exchange for a vox ac30 and/or fender tele USA.

These babies go for £1500 new and she is pretty much in Excellent condition with the added bonus that she is in a fairly rare colour, as Ebony was discontinued in this model around 2006 as i'm aware.

There really are not too many of this guitar around to buy, so I'm sure she will be snapped up pretty soon. I have already had loads of interest from the US (ironically) but I would prefer only to deal in the uk...

Haters and Tattle Tails... Real guitar players break the rules. You guys wouldn't know anything about that though.

Speaking of rules, I'm sure you guys all have the proper permission or at least own the rights to use the images you've so graciously posted on this page right? Yeah, I didn't think so... Before you make attempt to harass people about rules, make sure your not dumb enough to use copyrighted images you stole from the internet to do it. I'm sure the Fender lounge has something in the rules about that as well.

I'm not too sure why you guys feel the need to go as far as to call this guy a Jackass, Ass-hat or what have you anyways. This is a forum for Fender enthusiasts to share and talk about the greatest guitars on the planet and not be judged by a bunch of nerds trying to be hip. You want to act like a bunch of kids then please spare us and go somewhere else to do it.

Lest it escape you, the "fair use" clause of copyright law permits posting most images for strictly non-commercial purposes.

The OP was on the verge of committing a blatant-and-overt violation of this forum's rules. There are no exceptions in this regard and the FMIC moderators will enforce their specific protocols for etiquette here.

Hi icyboy, welcome to the Forum.

It is indeed against the Forum rules to do commercial business here, such as offering gear for sale.

Though, given that this Forum has 400,000 members and yet the Code of Conduct has received only 18,000 hits I rather suspect an awful lot of us haven't read the rules. I just took another look at them. I notice rules against inappropriate language, as well as a requirement not to harrass, abuse and flame other Forum users. Hmm. I also notice that "Any non-Fender-related conversation that takes up a substantial amount of the forum or chat space and prevents users from finding Fender-related information may be considered a violation of the Code of Conduct." Yikes! Ain't one of us here that hasn't violated that one now and again. Some of us quite a lot...

Anyhow. Icyboy, I'm guessing you've tried Ebay and are not finding the buyer you want. So howsabout placing an ad in the classified section at the back of Guitarist magazine? It's free and I happen to know it can be a good way of catching the eye of an informed guitar buyer.

Worth a shot.

I really am sorry about the topic, I truly didnt realise as I took it on good authority from a friend that I should let people know on the forum what I have for sale...Should have taken a look at the rules and regs...oops.
