Hi everyone, I'm new on this forum. I've got a question to experts. I've bought Fender Stratocaster American Standard and it has a small whole in the back in the metal badge of fender. For what, can I adjust smomething, is there any screw in it?

An owner's manual should have come with your guitar if you bought it new. They are good things to read. :wink:

Hi Bemol: you can, but I'd strongly suggest you don't, unless there is a very good reason, which usually there isn't.

The MicroTilt system was added so that players could accommodate problems that were essentially there due to manufacturing inaccuracies. In these days of CNC fabrication the particular problem the MicroTilt addresses hardly if ever occurs and therefore the system is more or less redundant. In fact, I'm not quite sure why it still exists: perhaps Fender feel that to remove it would look to customers like a "down-grade"?

Just recently on this very Forum a Fender staffer hinted candidly that neck tilt (shim) adjustments should hardly ever be necessary on a modern instrument.

So be charmed that you have it... and leave well alone, would be my friendly advice.

OK, I see ( there is in manual, but I didn,t know that this is Micro-Tilt Adjucement. Realy, it isn't necessery to adjust it. thx all.
