I have an EJ sign strat but the truss rod turns free. It is broken at the end of the headstock below the nut. Can it be fixed or do i have to go for a new neck?

Unless you are qualified to do the work, take the neck to a good luthier. Any luthier worth his salt should have something like this in his tool box and may be able to repair the truss rod depending on exactly where it is broken. Otherwise, a new neck would be needed.

You have 2 options, 1st take it to a luthier, maybe a low
Cost but maybe not.
Option 2, search eBay the stratosphere, you can possibly
Locate an EJ neck for 600 bucks moreless. And repair the
Neck at a later date
