This Strat your looking for was a limited edition, so, there's two ways to get one. Find one used somewhere or buy parts and make one with all the special things you have always wanted in a Strat.http://www.warmoth.com/ makes all the things you need, including a pick guard with the reverse angle bridge pup, neck with reverse headstock and bodies routed for the bridge pup.

I got a couple of their pick guards to get the reverse angle pup in one of my Strat Pluses.

This is actually an awesome guitar. They were MIM.when they made these I guess they didnt want to make them look just like the hendrix strat (lawsuit) soo it has a tinted neck a one ply pickguard and from what they sounded like some tex-mex or texas special pups I have one I believe they came out in 06-07 I bought mine at the end of 07 and it was an awesome strat great tinted neck that played like butter. I havnt played it but 5 times. I put lindy fralin woodstock 69's in it and that made that guitar. I still have it. Thought about selling. Just never have. The come up on ebay. Sometimes search reverse 60s strat or just reverse 60s..There is a modded on ebay under the name custom fender reverse stratocaster

I have a black and white one musicians friend had a sell a long time ago for $399.00. I see them on Ebay all the time. Try auction 280712017304 their is one for sale . If you want a guitar that plays the same I would get a 67' Fender Stratocaster reissue made in Japan

I don't think Fender would sue themselves and Janie Hendrix doesn't own the rights to any Fender designs.

The only thing Fender lost was the right to use Hendrix's name on the guitar, not to make a guitar that looked like his.

Hendrix played off the shelf Fender guitars. Technically speaking, except for the color, EVERY Fender Strat looks like his.

The guitar in question was called the 60's Reverse Special. It was indeed MIM.
It was available for a short time only in white and black.
Towards the end...Musician's Friend was blowing them out for a song....

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/fender-60s-reverse-headstock-strat-electric-guitar

I've owned one for several years now.
The stock pickups were HORRID!! They got changed! The cheap single ply pickguard HAD to go....I was fortunate enough to pick up a 3 ply VooDoo pickguard.
After time...I fell out of love with the Maple 7.5" radius neck and wished that it had a 9.5" radius rosewood neck like my beloved Highway Ones.
So....I bought a lefty 2011 American Special neck (same dang thing as a Highway One!!), put it on...and now I'm in LOVE with this axe!
