I would love to be SRV, but im not a wanna be. I love how the strings sound. They sound just that much fatter than 09's. :)

I have 9's on most of my Strats because I do a lot of bending and other legato moves (the advantage of being a lefty who plays right)

I have a couple of Strats with 10's and added a spring on both. I tend to put 10's on my metal guitars. You might not have to add a spring but it costs the price of a coffee and takes 60 seconds.
