Hi Oiten,

It looks like maybe 1991 - 1992, whether 5 or 6 digits, I think that there may have been both around that time.

Looks to be a Duosonic with a blade-style selector switch (a la Strat) instead of the vintage-spec 3-way toggle.

Not a Strat, not a Bullet. Arjay is right. Here's some history for you.

Although nothing is even mentioned about an MIJ model. It must be a real rare bird! If you can't get any more info from us here, I would suggest emailing fender support. Maybe somebody there knows something about it's production date. :)

I'm curious myself. Sure is a pretty guitar!

Yes, I checked 2 sites. L= '91 '92. There doesn't seem to be any alternative regardless of the lacking #. Keep us posted Oiten. :)

So i had a friend come over and take a look, turns out its a 1964 Fender Duo-Sonic Second Design BODY...that someone changed the neck to a japanese fender strat. Hard to find any decent price on it either. the only ones i could find that were Duo-Sonic's...and Not Duo-Sonic II's...were upwards of 2500 but those were almost mint. this has some aged cracks and minor nicks in the body.

FYI....im researching this because im looking to sell it if anyone is interested, or knows anyone who is feel free to email me johnwilmesjr@live.com

I hope the scale of the neck matches that of the body ... does the thing intonate properly?

The body may have been designed in '64, I don't know, but I doubt that it is actually made in '64, or anywhere near that year, it looks much more modern. JMO

Well the Japanese Strat is fond of long walks and fine dinning. She likes players with slow fingers, comfortable with barre chords, mainly reserved but unafraid to let rip a few choice riffs, when the time is right. Rythyms should be tight and regular but she will not mind a frew embellishments here and there. Be different enough to keep her thinking.

Pay particular attention to her G string, she will like that.
