Hi, I was looking to sell my Fender Squier Stratocaster and some questions came up while trying to do so. First, I don't know how to tell if its an affinity, standard, or bullet. I think it's a standard. I purchased it about 13 years ago and it was MIK. Second, I wanted to look up the serial number and did a brief search on google but didn't really find anything about it. Does Fender offer some kind of service to look up serial numbers? Can someone help me with how much this guitar may be worth?

The only MIK Squier Strats I can find are Bullets and their value goes like this:$175-$250.The MIK models were made from '87-'88. The Affinity Series according to the V.G. price guide was MIC.

I don't think that the import serial numbers work like that, you can't get the year made from the serial number like you can with the US and Mex models.

MIK models were made a lot longer than that, and there were more than bullets made. For instance the Squier Pro Tones are MIK and they were made from the mid to late 90s. Squier IIs were also made in Korea in the late 80s. some E series guitars were MIK.
My Affinity strat was made in Indonesia, and they have been produced in many places.

Post pictures and details and people may be able to discern the age and model. With that said, unless its a MIK pro tone I wouldn't count on it being more than $70-150
