I found this method on the internet and wanted to try it with my new Marshal Haze MHZ40C tube amp, my Digitech RP1000 pedal, and my Fender American Deluxe HSS Strat.

What this method does is allows me to use my amp's pre and power amp and only use the Digitech's effects. Or, I can switch to using the Digitech's pre amp (amp modeling) and my amp's power amp.

Since the Marshall Haze is all tube, I chose to use the Marshall's pre and power amp, and just use the effects from the Digitech.

I setup 5 different presets in the Digitech as follows...

Unovibe w/delay/reverb
Tremolo w/delay/reverb
Chorus w/delay/reverb
Detune w/delay/reverb
FX25 w/delay/reverb

My Strat is set up as follows...

D'Adderio Chromes 12's (flat wounds)
S1 switch in
Selector to position 3 (all 3 pickups)

Marshall set as follows...

Clean channel on 1 1/2
treb/mid/bas/pres all on 5

Recorded with an Audix OM2 mic about 4 to 6 inches in front of the amp and a little off axis from the speaker. Mic going through my Allen & Heath ZED12FX mixer and recorded through the mixers USB interface into Adobe Audition 3.0. Recordings are only normalized and saved to mp3.

Here are the recordings, and any feedback is welcome because I wanna learn...:)

Unovibe

Tremolo

Chorus

Detune

FX25

Thanks for listening.
