ill keep it simple, for the amount of money i paid for it, i was only partly connecting with it. im gonna buy an epiphone les paul later.
now back to the now...
i sold off my 65 drri, after changing tubes still had some rattle. i really didnt want to add more money to it, so best option (for me) was to sell it and start from scratch.
so on order is a 65 deluxe reverb limited in wine color. the upgrade was the different jensen speaker, hell 50 bucks more why not.

also on order is a sunburst hot rod 62 stratocaster 8 lbs....
i purchased as a package so i got some discount.....

trust me, i debated with this......

I was a 30+ yr GFOB ONLY player, until about 6 yrs ago I bought a Tele because I instantly fell in love w/the neck and overall feel......
Then I got an Amer.Dlx. Strat for the same reason and have recently built a Strat clone to my personal preferences.

I still love my Lesters/SGs/V, etc.....but sometimes a Lester just doesn't fit right.

Well,I can tell you one thing,I own a '62 Hot Rod Strat and after over 40 years of playing Strats and Gibsons,it's my all time favorite....I think you're going to like it.

Gotta say, despite being utterly smitten with my new acquisition, Wurzel The Les Paul.

Nothing feels like my Hotrod. Like it was made for my hands.

about to open it and stopped by a red tag... it read (caution, do not expose guitar to extreme temperature changes, keep stored at room temperature for 24 hours before opening).....
c'mon... its been about 7 hours post delivery...

A change of a few degrees won't make a lot of difference,it's when you bring a guitar that's been in the back of a freezing cold car trunk overnight into a warm house that it makes a difference or if you expose a warm guitar to sudden cold.The biggest risk is checking and condensation and only significant temp and humidity changes can cause that.

i kind of figured that, im sure it traveled in 100 plus degrees since last tues wed night.
im sure it has acclimated by now....
