Heres some pics of my EC partocaster. I've been working on this thing for a couple of years.

The body is an '04 EC body in candy green. The neck is an '05 "blackie" neck. Everything else is from and EC guitar except the electronics, back plate and strap buttons. I think I would have paid alot less to just buy one instead of build it. I tried some mighty mite necks at first but at the end I felt it just needed a fender EC neck. It plays so much better with the Fender neck and is now one of my favorites.

Maybe sometime in the future I'll make it 100% EC. Heres the pics:

NICE, only why is it greener than yours OR my lawn? I know, no rain around your place either. But in all seriousness, shes a beauty, enjoy her.

Mighty sweet!

These are the first decent pics of that particular color that really show it in a favorable light.

Rawk on!

Fender stopped offering the Clapton Model in Candy Green as of 2010, making these guitars a serious collectible piece.

The Custom Shop produced Thinskin Nitro EC Strats with the same finishes as the regular artist models (including Candy Green) in the recent past. These guitars were built exclusively for Wildwood.

Sick looking EC mate. EMG make a great single coil mate, I take it you were going for more of vintagey strat sound with the feel of EC, rather than the newer "noiseless" or lace sensor pickup EC tone.

Disclaimer: Not that ones better than the other, but they are different tones out of a vintage voiced single coil, lace sensor and N3 pickup, each with their own benifits.

yeah its actually the EMG SAV set with SPC control. SPC basically boosts the single coils and makes them sound like humbuckers. I figured i'd try the EMG's since the body is already routed for a 9 volt battery.

Sounds pretty good IMO. :)
