What model is my HSS Strat

I know that it is American Made but I am not sure if it's an American Special or American Deluxe. My guitar is white with a black pick guard and black pups but fender doesn't list this as a color choice. help?

I will upload a picture when I can but it has a 70's headstock and it says original custom body patented. The serial starts in 10

My good man...the sticker on the pickguard states clearly that this is an AMERICAN SPECIAL Stratocaster.
You happen to be one of the lucky few to get it in the Olympic White finish that was available to Guitar Center only.
I have this same exact guitar and LOVE it!!
I'm loving it more now that I've changed ALL the pickups!! ( I H-A-T-E-D the stock pickups!!)
The layout: DiMarzio Injector(N) DiMarzio Area 67 (M) DiMarzio 36th Anniv. P.A.F. (Br.); combine that with Fender/Schaller locking tuners and Graph tech String saver saddles and I've now got my own Custom Shop quality guitar!

Wow, Thanks Man I could have sworn it was an American Special but the Olympic White Threw me! thanks again and good to know another Am. Special Owner! Do you have a post mods pic?

There's not much difference in the post mod pics other than one side of the humbucker having 3 screws as opposed to two.
A necessary....abiet stupid......anal retentive part of the mod.
Fender HAD to go put 2 screws on one side of the bucker!!!
The top and bottom screws are now "dummys" , with the middle being the functioning one.

I LOVE the stock pickups on my AM Special. They are exactly what I was hoping for. I even love the Atomic humbucker.

Anyway.. Congrats on the Am Special. The white is a really great looking color.

Trust me....if you put a set of QUALITY pickups in this guitar....you WILL notice a HUGE difference! It became a different guitar....for the BETTER!!
The single coils HAD to go because of the ever so common 60 cycle hum.....
With the dives I play at....they would've tortured me!

Do you like the DiMarzios I looked up some reviews and that P.A.F. Sounded amazing and the Area 67 too but i didn't really like the sound of the injector.!

While the Injector is not my favorite DiMarzio as are the Area series...I don't DISLIKE it..enough to change it out.
It's just another flavor/color to work with.
I can't speak highly enough of the Area series BTW.
