No, certainly not.

It's my own personal vision how a masterbuilt set-neck Strat based on this 83 prototype loaded with such contemporary features like the deluxe locking tremolo, LSR nut and tuners would look, nothing special.

With the guitar builder it wouldn't be difficult to design a set-neck Strat similar to the 83 prototype, however the options are very limited. It's also possible to fit this beauty with a set of EMG or Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups and an original Floyd Rose locking tremolo. I'm pretty sure the CS has released a similar guitar in the past.

The big problem is the deluxe locking tremolo is no longer in production, Fender discontinued that product in 2007.

Hope this California guitar giant brings back the mini-floyd in 2012.
