Depends on the type of Squier. If it's a bullet or affinity, the neck pocket is too shallow.

Hi Ceallach: is that right? I've never had my hands on a Bullet or an Affinity, but all the other Squiers I've come across have their neck pockets absolutely to Fender spec dimensions, including being 17 mm deep. I've measured a lot of Fender and Squier bodies and they are always identical in that aspect. I'm interested to hear if the bottom of the catalog models really do go for a different dimension on pocket depth - and if so, I wonder why?

Anyhow. To taib: I've never had the slightest problem switching necks between any Fender or Squier guitar and I doubt you will either.
