It's an okay deal.

And it's on its way toward being a relic!

So if it is an okay deal, can anyone tell me what it is? All I know is it is :
Your guitar was made at the
Corona Plant (Fender), USA
in the Year(s): 1997 - 1998

Anyone know if this is what is referred to as an American Standard??

American Standards are the new model for `08 so one from an earlier year won`t have the same upgrades. They come in a newly redesigned case. Maybe the seller used the term " American Standard " as a selling point.

$560.00 is OK for a 97 strat with damage. I bought an American 2007 Three color Sunburst Nitro at Guitar Center on Black Friday for $598.00. It's all relative...
