Two years ago i built a heavily modded H.S.S Strat from a starting point of a MIM H.S.S Standard Strat..I did this to save on cost and still be able to get everything i wanted from a guitar without it costing several thousand dollars..
Along with the protective value of the poly finish and not having to worry about every time it was bumped or dragged in and out of a hotel room/Show or conference room practice so and so forth..

It is still my number 1 stage/road guitar and i'm so happy with it i'm now wanting to do another this time in standard S.S.S ...So i went out and got another 2008 white strat with maple neck same year color and everything ..

On the last build i went with a full Callaham tremolo kit which is the full tremolo plate saddles block trem arm springs and assorted screws..I went with the Callaham because it was the only quality replacement tremolo i knew of at the time.

I now have heard good things about a company called super Vee that offers a conversion from the 6 point trem to a vintage styled two point trem..(This is the standard tremolo not the Floyd Rose type )..

I have a fellow player who raves about how great his super vee tremolo is and i'm giving it some thought..

I highly respect the opinions of some of the members on this forum and there knowledge so i would like to ask which of the two tremolo's they prefer and what if anything do they know about super vee tremolo..

Here is the link to both Callaham and Super Vee...
http://super-vee.com/
http://www.callahamguitars.com/partsstr.htm

Thanks in advance for any advice on this matter...

P.S...If there is some other tremolo you feel is better or equal to these two please feel free to share it...

Eric Johnson uses the Super Vee trem & locking nut system on his Rosewood (edition) Signature Strat . If it's in his rig, it's as good as anything & I'm considering it myself but I dont wanna pay for it Lol. Look it up on youtube

+1 on that. If it's good enough for EJ, it should be good enough for the rest of us.

Dude, I too am working on improving my MIM to another level, and I think you have helped me find the bloody, Holy Grail, Tremolo I've been looking for. That Super -V- is outstanding! It will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine... Thank you.

The Super-V Looks interesting. I'd be curious on how much pressure is needed to get the trem sound you want. One of the videos made it seem that it's sensitive to the touch. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing though.
