thanks guys, T2 ive got a question for regarding your 80s 335, my friend
has a 81 gibson es 335, the best sounding pickups on a 335 that ive heard, live at least.
well he is gonna send it in for a refret at the gibson restoration dept.
shot in the dark, have you or know of someone that has sent in vintage gibbies in for restoration work or simple refrets? i know, totally out of context and doesnt belong here.

Very nice. Take the sticker off the Gibson. :P

Already did , then some.
Added gold top hats with gold inserts, removed the pickguard
It has a beautiful flame on the maple cap.

Mine has the old Dirty Fingers and I do like the tone of em...they cut through a mix pretty well too.

I have only had two experiences with sending guitars back to Gibson. Both were not my guitars, but very close friends. One had a refret and they did a great job on it. No issues, they even managed to leave the wear spots on his Les Pauls fretboard...the other was an acoustic that developed a crack in the top and Gibson replaced the top, refinished the entire guitar and even did a neck reset with it...everything was great...it was a class A job on both guitars. I have not heard of any horror stories with Gibson's work. I am sure there may be some, but none in my experiences.
