Hi there,
I recently bought a Fender HSS Stratocaster J-series (1989-90 ?) Made in Japan with a Floyd Rose orignal unit,and oddly enough, seems to me a factory installed Dimarzio HB2 made in USA humbucker.
Other thing, the middle tone knob is a push and pull, and the other tone knob is like a pre-run of what we know now as the TBX tonecontrol but in smaller versions...
I don't think or it don't seems to me that the guitar has been tampered with, but you never know ,so to be really sure:
Did Fender Japan factory-install back then Dimarzio humbuckers and these electronics in their HSS Floyd Rose J-series Stratocasters?
