Do not get that magnet too close to your pickups! :|

Change your diet. You can significantly change your ph balance. Search for "Acidity and alkalinity" and your blood type. You will be healthier with higher alkaline values. One that works for most is a serving of cantaloupe with each meal.

Cantaloupe for ph, huh? I always thought it was plenty of "red snapper".

What will happen if you get magnets too close to your pickups?

Thanks,

It can permanently damage your pick-ups causing anything thing from line hum and feedback, to completely frying them.

Check out the Stew-Mac Micro Mesh Finishing Pads. The assortment is great for lots of tasks and does a wonderful job on frets.

Hello,

can you elaborate on how that would occur? I recall that the "Ebow" creates a magnetic field to make the string vibrate to get that bowed sound. Why doesn't the ebow damage the pups?

Thanks,

Thanks super kid, didn't catch that.

I did some fret ends recently and just wrapped the body in a plastic bag and used low tack tape to hold the plastic securely to the body. It holds well and comes off cleanly.
That is the tape, often blue, that is used to mask molding when painting.

haha I'm glad I'm not the only one out there with the weird acidic sweat...

by the way... I'm posting this as I'm replacing the strings on my guitar. It's like a weekly chore, but I guess the good thing about working at a music store is that you get discounts on strings...
