Anyone know where I can find some really good Pictures of how to re-string my guitar. I just changed from locking tuners to some vintage style tuners and i'm having a hard time stringing these older tuners. Any ideas

I think I know what you're saying. I have problems with the non-wound (456) strings slipping.

There MUST be some trick that someone can share with us on this issue?

The method that I use is to trim each string about 2" past the tuner, then insert the end into the slot before winding. You might be able to find pictures using a search.

Vintage split shaft tuners are used not only to be authentic but also because they stay in tune great. They are arguably the best tuners ever made. The string locks itself because it is bent down inside the tuner.

Make sure you put a lot of turns on the non-wound strings. That'll help prevent slippage. I have the vintage slotted tuners and almost never have a tuning problem from slippage. I actually prefer them to any other tuner.
