Hi guys. It's been a while since I logged in. How are things?

I was in a thread at the KF and we are discussing the Fender "Strat" HSS (with Floyd and painted headstock) available in the early '90s, ('92....I...think???? :?: )

I had a friend that had a guitar given to him a few years ago that was not one of these. It was a Japanese Fender Strat with the traditional headstock and Fender logo, but it had 2 Knobs with the jack mounted in the guard where the 3rd knob would be.

Also it had a licensed Floyd on it. I was told when I researched it at that time, that the Floyd had to have the trem bar to make any adjustments......something about the bar being the wrench too....but I can't remember any more than that.

Can anyone tell me what model that was?

Thanks

Thanks for that

Two things I see though. The one in the vid is a USA model and doesn't have the licensed Floyd model on it.

Nice guitar though. I actually didn't know they made one like that either :D

But with Fender I think just about every conceivable combination has been thought of by now.

Awesome axes. I owned 3 American deluxes (at the same time  ) at one point. Now only 2 :? . I just love every thing about them, especially now that there are single coil pup selections, like noiseless and single spaced humbucker. I'm a closet metal head (check my screen name) from the 80s 8)

Back in the day I would never play a Strat, well the traditional kind, bc super strats were so kewl. With age comes wisdom though and today my red Deluxe with HSS setup is my numer 1 go-to guitar. I love the FloydRose (the person :D ) designed heavy barred 2-point trem. The bar feels like an OFR bar, but the action of the trem is softer, like a Kahler.

Thanks a lot for the video. Really :D That had to take some time to find

No....not those either, lol.....

Its a typical looking Strat with Strat white pickguard (although I'm sure there are various color combinations) with the addition of a Floyd instead of a regular tremolo.

The one in particular I saw had a 2 (or 3) tone vintage burst. Chrome hardware like any regular Strat has.

I can't remember if it had a Floyd type nut or a behind the nut type.

Anyways, no biggy
