Hello out there. I posted this on the Forum also (FYI)
I have a beautiful CS Ltd. Ed. Daphne Blue Clapton that I absolutely love.
The point I would like someone to address is that if I sight the neck down, the treble side is ever so slightly concave. The bass side, however is straight.
The guitar is not under warranty, since I bought it from GC used(2100.00- pretty good deal, I thought) with ohsc and all candy, certificates. It ddid not even look like it saw any hands on it!
Need I worry about this? The guitar plays great and I have thought that maybe putting
.09, .11, .16 gauge strings on the treble side, and my usual .26,.36,.46 on the bass side.
I have not tried a straight edge yet, but will.
Any commentsw would be very appreciated. I have had 16 Clapton strats over the years and this one is my "holy grail". I don't want her to have issues.
Thanks

Fret both e strings at the first and last fret, check the relief of the neck at both strings at the 7th fret.
I would say as long as it plays great it´s ok.

Cheers,
Robin

Thanks, the reason I love the guitar so much IS the neck. Fender outdone themselves on these. I can play it for hours, and the finish on it makes it so your hands always glide across the neck ( you know what I mean) !
