I wanted an office guitar so I bought a mexican strat from ebay. I played it for a while and was very impressed... so I took it to pieces and added the Clapton on board preamp and red, silver and blue lace sensor pups. I set it up as close to my TK masterbuilt as I could get. I love it!
The frets are quite different so I may be looking for another neck, which completely defies the object of a cheap(er) guitar to play while I'm at work (during lunch obviously).

Shaky, Nice looking guitar, great job...I love the Clapton boost, my 89 Clapton Strat has the lace sensors which I prefer and that boost is addictive! Nice figuring on that neck too! Must be nice to be able to keep a guitar at work and play on your lunch hour...Enjoy!

Thanks, It is nice to be able to play at work. I run it through my Zoom G2.1 which allows me to use headphones and play along with tunes on my computer. I do have an old Marshall 8080 valve state under the desk so when the students aren't there I can crank it up. 8)
