Hey, just one quick question, I bought a licenesed Fender accessory kit, but I am having trouble replacing the trem arm tip on my guitar. First it was a PITA to get the original one off, now I can't force the new one on. Does anyone have any tips, or advice they could give? Thanks.

A VERY SMALL amount of 3in1 oil applied to the trem arm.

It is hard to turn those trem tips. Try to use what you use to open jars.

I have a hunk of rubber that lets you get a good hold to turn the tip.

If you're talking about the little rubber piece at the end of the trem arm, I have a solution for you that I have used on my motorcycles. Spray hair spray liberally on the trem arm and then just slide the tip on. I do it on motorcycles to slide the hand grips on. It will be fairly slick until the hair spray dries and then be very sticky. This has worked for me many times and work s like a charm.

Good luck!

Yes, but the tip does more than just slide on.

It screws on.

And that can be very hard to do.

Sorry Orville, I didn't realise that they screwed on. I thought they slid on. Nice to know for the future. I will be doing some mods on my Strat VG soon.
