Post subject: Odd I serial number USA Strats from 89/90

Does anyone have any more information about the Strats made around 89/90 that have the odd serial numbers starting with I?

It states from the information here - http://www.fender.com/en-GB/support/art ... uct-dating

The specs are a bit odd, e.g. the trem measures almost the same as the narrower Mexican type. If anyone had any more information on these it would be great if they could share it.

Yea, those Strats seemed to have been made of a mix of parts from Fender, all to be destined to import market. Anyway, what's the story with the red one on the right?

It's a 62 Ltd relic with Brazilian rosewood for the European market only I believe.

It's a Japanese made Levinson Blade R something or other from the early 90s. It's diffict to find out much about them infortunately. I've had them all from new.
