This shot was taken from the Capitol Centre concert which took place in May 10th, 1992 - a few months before Eric cut his hair short.

More like Eric Johnson w/a 12r board. No scallops. No Lobstah!!
Though Fender has a compound board on its Deluxe's and the American Vintage Hotrod.

So you'll be EJDoc?

Regardless, those 12"r fingerboards are flatliners.

Man Miami Mike, too bad you are not living up to your Forum user name! I will be in Miami next Wednesday. Too bad we could not get together. So how did a Miami Mike end up in the cold north country? But if all works out well, I will be trying out Eric's Red Strat..... 8)

When Clapton bought his Ferrari SP12EC a couple of years ago I was fascinated about the idea of making a Custom Artist LTD with a tad darker hue of Torino Red.

Here's a photo of Lot #67, another Torino Red guitar with a 22-fret neck crafted by Michael Stevens:

Image

This is not the Torino Red prototype but a final production guitar Eric played as a spare for studio and rehearsal use. The original prototype also got a 22-fret neck a few weeks before old Slowhand sold it to Ian Botham.

There were rumours saying that lot #67 belonged to Andy Fairweather-Low and George Harrison.

Pewter? You're joking...

It's the very first "blackie" in which the flamed neck from one of the two pewter prototypes was fitted in!

The other pewter prototype (with the birdseye neck) was later set up for slide and used occasionally as a spare.
