Great interview with Willie's son on the tube now and he talks
about his love for Strats and shows some footage on stage with
Dad. He's playing a well worn sunburst Strat...and he's damn good!

I guess the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.

He's using a different Strat in this clip :

Looks like an amber or buttescotch blonde American Deluxe Strat with a ying/yang sticker stamped into the pickguard.

The other Strat in question is a Sienna Burst American Standard HSS with a maple neck and a humbucker in the bridge.

That second one looks like a American Lonestar. I have one just like it.
Well, maybe not. Mine has a pearloid pickguard and I think that was standard.

It's an American Standard HSS. The bridge has the copper-infused bent-steel saddles on it, not the stainless steel block saddles of the American HSS with the S-1 switch.

The one he was using on the TV clip with his Dad's band
was a really worn 'burst model with all 3 single coils - - not
this one:

Saw Lukas Nelson last year at Wolf Trap in Virginia opening for BB King. He was good, but he jumped around too much. I don't mean leaping about the stage like some artists do, I mean jumping up and down like a pogo stick. It made my back and knees hurt to watch.

What? A Strat? His daddy didn't teach him anything. There's nowhere to hide your stash on a Strat!
