My plan was to go on a family vacation and pick up a candy red American Deluxe v neck one on my return. Then came the curve ball. I walked into a music store in LA and saw this on the wall. Had never actually played one. I picked it up and the weight blew my mind. I have never felt a Strat this light. Easily 1-1.5 lbs lighter than the American Deluxe sitting next to it. The neck is a dream. Soft V with amazing nut and fret work and a neck finish I fell in love with instantly. The sound is nothing short of spectacular. Deep throaty tones with crisp quack and endless sustain. I am in love with this thing.

Anyhow its good to be part of the club. I have obviously been missing something special for many, many years.

Nice geetar!! EC model comes with blocked trem so I wouldn't have to mod it myself. Not too lazy to do it at all, but one less thing to delay my PLAYING it! I want one!! I want one!!

That piece of alder is fit in there as perfectly as can be. All five springs tightened down all the way and that thing is not going anywhere. I dig it to no end and I certainly couldn't have done a better job.

lol you aren’t joking. I already have designs on my own custom shop strat. I’ll wait a couple years until I have the scratch handy to request a master builder. I am just blown away by the quality of this guitar. Really it’s the neck that is the most impressive to me. Side by side with my Ibanez jem "evo" vai , which was the most effortless guitar to play that I had ever had the privilege of laying the meat hooks on, this piece has been a revelation. I know that sounds corny but honestly I haven’t felt this way about an instrument from the moment I touched it.

The Ibanez is the only guitar I kept after losing touch with my music. This piece has given me something new. Brilliant craftsmanship.
