Welcome to the world of Strat ownership, she's a great colour. They certainly are addictive and one is rarely enough.BTW there's nothing strange about the serial # placement as far as I know.

Thanks for your replys .. I'm glad you all like the colour ... I wanted a candy apple red guitar ...and I found one :) about the trem arm ....to be honest I didn't notice ..as I've never had a ''real'' strat before and didn't check pictures to notice a difference ...but I did notice something odd about it ..thanks for pointing this out .....I'll get that changed ...although it's not a big deal ..it still plays fine ...also thanks for your comments about the logo ..I thought it was a bit weird ..thanks for clearing that up :)

I'm really happy with it ..I've now got a humbucker guitar and a single coil guitar ..I don't need any more ;) ....... Hmmm maybe 1 or 2 more won't hurt :D hahaha

To answer the serial number issue, I have a '99 MIM with the serial number under the logo. When Fender redesigned the MIM and MIA series, the serial number of the MIM got put on the back, I guess to make it more "vintage correct" but a 50's headstock with a 70's logo is not very correct. If you look at the mid 90's to about 2005 they all have the serial number inder the logo, and then in 2006ish Fender put it on the back, you have a genuine strat. I would have chosen a maple neck though....

Great looking guitar, I love CAR strats ,

If the lefty tremolo bar works for you, it adds a certain kinda
Mojo

damn i love that color! have you considered a pearl pickguard?

what amp are you playing through?

i usually tune to standard D or drop C with d'adarrio 9s. i normally play classic/normal rock or blues with mine. i reserve my EMG equipped guitars for the heavier stuff.
