Hello, recently I bought an 2010 American Special SSS. I like to know what amplifier is recommended for buy that makes my guitar sounds amazing.

I like to play Rock, Blues, Hard-Rock, even Metal. So im thinking in a versatile amplifier.

And also what pedal do you recommend for my American Special??

Please help me, because i dont know too much about amplifier and pedals.

Thanks, from Chile!

Vila.

The model of amp you want depends on several criteria such as how big your budget is and where you'll be playing it.If you are only going to be playing at home the Fender Blues Jr. with a good Metal Distortion such as one of the Boss units would be a good choice. If you want more volume one of the louder Fender amps should do the trick along with the aforementioned pedal.
There are several great Hybrid amps such as the Vox AD and VT series that give you a wide range of amp and effects models for a reasonably low price.Marshall also makes some great lowr priced Hybrid amps from their Valvestate series.I hope this gives yu enough info to start a search for a suitable amp. Try http://www.voxamps.com/ or http://marshallamps.com/ for more info on their amps.
The Fender G-DEC-30 is a pretty versatile and loud amp for about $400 U.S. and if you want hyper-loud check out the Fender Mustang III amp for about $300 U.S.

if you can afford one a fender twin reverb. i have a silver face from the early 70s like the ones the beatles used on the roof top concert. it makes every guitar i have sound great it has a master volume when pulled out boosts to 135 watts . i forget what normal wattage is but its good for at home and on stage.

Put a least ( more is better ) the same amout of money on a amp than you put on a guitar. Is the amp will give you the sound and the tone.

Good guitar + low cost ( quality ) amp = poor sound
Cheap guitar + high quality amp = best sound

Buy a good tube amp 20- 40 watts . Twin reverb are too powerfull in my opinion , you can read the same opinion many times on this forum.

Go to a good dealear and try some amps

I've been a big fan of the Peavey Delta Blues Amp. It has a breat bottom end and becomes dirty very well. Good luck.
