Hello all,
I do far more reading than posting on this forum. Mainly due to the quality of the information available in comparison to the quality of information I can contribute. But instead of certifiable information, I am after opinions.
I have 2 Stratocasters. Both of which I regard quite highly. However, 1 of the 2 is my go to guitar. My 06 EJ strat is #1. The other is a 99 MIA. For years I had a set of Lindy Fralin Blues Specials in the MIA strat. I decided to swap the EJ pups into the MIA, putting the Fralin's into the EJ. I am happy with the tonal changes in both guitars.
I am curious what you favorite Strat is, owned or not yet acquired?

I've owned so many guitars that I have loved. My faverites change every now and then. My current faverite is an Andy Summers inspired Tele I had built.

Other faverites are/were:

'87 Strat Plus that was stripped of all paint and stained golden brown. In '99 I foolishly sold it.
'62 Strat copy I had built with Texas Specials.
'04 50th Anniversary American Series Strat.
'01 Clapton Strat. If I keep only one guitar. This would be the one.

Prolly this one......

Image

Custom-built Mary Kay hardtail......two-piece, center-joined, book-ended, 50-Y/O swamp ash body with all-nitro white "snowburst" finish and a MIJ '54 re-issue neck. All Fender-US vintage-spec hardware and the Custom Shop Fat '50's pickup set. It weighs a skosh under seven pounds.

I'd take this one to that "deserted tropical island" that is often mentioned.

The Mary Kay is really a cool guitar. A shop local to me has a very nice M Kay strat that I have admired for years. I would love to have one of my own one day. I also like your idea of posting pictures. I'll carry on with one of my EJ...

My favorite Strat that I own is my black American Vintage '57 Reissue. The tone and playability make it my favorite. Of course I might find another one day that I like better.

You may think its a cop-out, but I've owned strats before (American Deluxe and a MIM), plus other guitars such as ESP, Gibson, Epiphone, Schecter, etc., but this Jim Root Strat is absolutely fantastic. Ebony fretboard, wonderful fretwork, locking tuners, thru-the body hard tail, strap locks, case, emgs, the list goes on. This one is amazing in every way. The black satin one is beautiful and a force to be reckoned with.

My favorite guitar is my Highly Modified 2007 Highway 1 Stratocaster. It is my go-to guitar.

I don't have a favourite Strat. I've found something to love in every strat I've ever played or owned.

Maybe if I was forced to pick, it would be my collaborator's Clapton sig Strat, or possibly my hugely modified Squier Standard/Seymour Duncan Strat.

I do favour Strats that stick to the original Fender design - 3 single coil pickups and a traditional trem set to float..
